Konoba Portun ($$)

Traditional, Montenegrin, Balkan, Dinner

Located in Budva old town, this traditionally Montenegrin restaurant serves up beautiful food to the few tables it has. This is one of the best restaurants in Budva for an authentic Montenegrin dining experience. One of the most popular dishes is the octopus cooked under the metal lid, which is excellent.

Konoba Stari Grad ($$)

Entertainment, Lunch, Dinner, Drinks, Balkan

Occupying an area between the stone walls of the old town and the clear waters of the nearby beach, Stari Grad’s biggest pull is it’s views and setting, which are perfect any time of day. As one might expect with it being where it is, the restaurant is a little touristy, however, the seafood is great and the atmosphere really makes this restaurant worth going to.

A Taste Of Asia ($)

Thai, Chinese, Asian, Dinner

Located in an area slightly set back from the main centre and tourist area, Taste Of Asia is a welcome break from the usual Balkan and Montenegrin food that is served in most restaurants. Dishes include those from Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam but are mostly Chinese and Thai. The food is tasty, fresh and the outdoor garden is welcoming.

Restaurant Porto ($$)

Montenegrin, Balkan, Traditional, Seafood, Dinner, Lunch

A small bridge with fish ponds either side at the entrance pulls customers into this restaurant with its old, quaint interior, but the food keeps people coming back. Food is Montenegrin and Balkan and includes national favourites such as mussels buzzara and Njeguski steak.

Jadran Kod Krsta ($$)

Montenegrin, Traditional, Seafood, Dinner, Lunch

With an idyllic setting of tables on the sand, and a wide selection of fresh seafood and fish dishes to choose from, it’s no wonder that Jadran is a well known favourite of locals and tourists. There is meat on the menu but the seafood is really what you come here for. The fish plate for two is recommended. While you’re there, take a look inside at eclectic interior filled with all sorts, but particularly lots of motorbike paraphernalia.

Olimp ($)

Montenegrin, Balkan, Seafood, Lunch

Also located on the beachfront, Olimp serves a varied menu of Montenegrin, Balkan and Mediterranean cuisine. However, what they really excel at is the lunch specials and deals which are on boards outside the restaurant. Usually consisting of seafood or fish and a glass of wine, for as little as €7, this is one of the best restaurants in Budva to enjoy a local, tasty lunch at.
